Join us for our January Book Club where we'll discuss the modern spiritual classic "The Presence of God" by Irish Dominican, Fr. Anselm Moynihan. It's a fantastic reading focusing on finding the presence of God in our lives, helping us to pray more deeply, and live our vocations more fully.
Joy of the Just Lay Fraternity of St. Dominic is pleased to announce that our Advancement Ceremony and Mass will take place on Sat. Jan 18th at 11am, here at Ss. Philip and James. ALL are welcome to attend! The Mass and Ceremony will be followed by a light lunch in the Hall. Please join us in praying for our 3 members to be received into the Order of Preachers (Lay Novices) and 3 members who will make a 3 year promise.
Please join us for our next gathering on Saturday, January 18 at 5:30 PM in the SSPJ church hall! Our discussion topic will be family finance, which falls under Trinity House Level 3 - Household Economy. We will learn how family budgeting and fiscal stewardship can be an onramp for a couple’s deeper intimacy with one another and with the Lord. As always, a pizza & salad dinner + childcare will be provided. Please bring a drink and/or dessert to share.
Save the date for our 3rd annual Dumb Ox Wintertime Cookoff. An event to come together with great food in a friendly competition to support our parish food pantry and fellowship with our community. Click the image to register for the event. You must register by 12:00pm on January 24 to attend.
