Liturgical Ministries help in the service of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The liturgical ministries include lay extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist, Lectors (Readers), Altar Servers, Ushers, and Greeters.
Every year, the liturgical ministers are commissioned or re-commissioned for their ministry to the parish. Also at least once a year, there is training for new liturgical ministers.
Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, and Altar Servers must be Catholics in good standing and practice of the Catholic faith.
Resident parishioners and Johns Hopkins Students are encouraged to serve! No previous experience necessary.
Our growing Traditional Choir needs your support and voice! The choir sings from September through May at 11AM Masses and at special liturgies for Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter. Rehearsals are Thursdays evenings at 7PM. The repertoire ranges from classics by Victoria, Bruckner, and Vivaldi to favorites by Vaughn Williams and Rutter, to new settings in ritual music by Gouin, Latona, and Nestor. Come try us out! Have Contemporary tastes in Musical Praise?
The 5PM Sunday Mass and Frassati Nights offer reverent praise with truly contemporary music and traditional hymns sung in contemporary settings. Contact Mr. Clint Felts, Director of Contemporary Music Ministry for more information.
